It all started with Burgaw Now!
Since its launch in 2018, Burgaw Now has opened two new restaurants including Fat Daddy’s, a retro, NY style pizzeria and Burgaw Brewing, Burgaw’s first brew pub. Following the success of both of these new businesses, founder Richard Johnson created Own Your Own to give “wantrepreneurs” nationwide the opportunity to open small businesses in small towns just like Burgaw.
The Own Your Own mission is to revitalize small towns by helping entrepreneurs start new businesses that provide sparks of growth in their communities.
“KMI is thrilled to announce their expansion to Burgaw and Pender County and plans to eventually offer all the same programs that their Wilmington location provides, starting with an after-school program focused on teaching woodworking skills to local youth.”
