The Boutique For Burgaw

“The downtown store offers an exclusive experience for gift buying, home goods and clothing for Burgaw locals and visitors alike.”

Dawn McLean was tired of making the trip from Burgaw to Wilmington every time she needed to shop for a gift or cute outfit, and she found others in the community felt the same. Her solution? The County Seat– a modern boutique filled with brands like Scout, Lilly Pulitzer, Tyler’s Candles, Toadfish and more. The downtown store offers an exclusive experience for gift buying, home goods and clothing for Burgaw locals and visitors alike.

The County Seat gets its name from its community – Burgaw serves as the county seat for Pender county. When walking around the downtown square, you can find the courthouse right in the center and all the businesses and government buildings surrounding its perimeter. The store, within earshot of the courthouse, is situated in the optimal downtown location, with a very fitting name.

“The people and the feeling you get when you’re interacting with the locals is so special,Janie Findeisen, Dawn’s daughter-in-law said. You can find Janie at the store nearly everyday, running the day-to-day business. When Dawn created her boutique, she recruited Janie as the face of the store, handing over the responsibility to connect with the community. The good news for Janie and Dawn is that the community has embraced the store, celebrating it for all it has to offer, saving locals the trip to Wilmington for that gift, homegood or outfit.

Visit The County Seat at 110 W Fremont Street in Burgaw, North Carolina, visit their website to shop and follow along with them on Facebook to keep up with what’s new in the store, try on hauls and giveaways.
